Slow Going

by Chris Maddera on August 1, 2005

Well, it’s been one full week, and I’m a little better. I shuffle along like those old men you see in nursing homes. The swelling makes it hard to bare walking much, and the stitches tugging and pulling this way and that with my body as I move aren’t helping much. I can’t bend down to pick things up. If something falls on the floor, it’s gone to me.

I can’t seem to drink enough water, which is bad because I have to make more trips to the bathroom, which means more shuffle-walking and stitch twisting.

And this is only after one week.

I can’t really sit here much and write as much as I would like, but I wanted to say hi and thanks to everyone for thinking about me.

I’ll be back later, but right now I need to go recover from this little bit of activity.

Glad to hear you’re up and around (however slowly and old mannish that may be).

Take care and take your meds.
