Political Compass

by Chris Maddera on November 17, 2005

It’s been a while since I bookmarked it, so I don’t remember where I first saw the Political Compass “test”, but because it caught my eye in the bookmarks list, I thought I’d finally get around to taking it.

And here’s the result:

Political Compass

As you can see on the Analysis page, I fall in the neighborhood of the likes of Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, and Mahatma Gandhi (You know, Ghandi, the boxer). I think that if you endowed these three men with the strong urge to kick some people in the crotch with a steel-toed boot, that would pretty much describe me to a tee.

Well, maybe there are a few more differences, but…

Anyhoo…if you take this little test, don’t forget to look at your Reading List. Here’s mine. Or as some people would call it, my “indoctrination material”. Oooo, scary stuff. Look at me, I’m dangerous. I think government should stay out of our bedrooms. Boogity Boogity Boogity!

And for no real reason at all, here’s a reminder from 2003 (as if you needed one) about how stupid Fox News is.

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.10

I’m near you guys, along with Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, and the Dalai Lama. I think the Pete got the same thing.

When we come home for christmas, we should totally hang out and eat some mexican food together or something. Tell Brian and Amy. Drinks all around!

We know a great Mexican place here that’s quick on service, light on the wallet.

And it’s not a Taco Bell or Ted’s.
